Imagine a ‘Crash Course - Cooking for 20’ where all the menu planning, shopping and measuring was all prepared for your arrival. You turn up, pop the stove on and you’re cooking with gas (pardon the pun).
Join Corrin for an enjoyable face-to-face crash course in weaving cloth on a rigid heddle loom. No experience necessary.
This session includes:
a warped up, prepared loom for you to hop straight on and start weaving
instruction book to follow
small class for more one-on-one support
Corrin ready with a machine to sew up the utility pouch complete with zip and tassel.
In the session you’ll weave a length of cloth and cut it off the loom. Corrin will be ready with a machine to sew up the sides, add a zip and you can attach the tassel. Voila!
Duration: 3 hours
Location: Workplayhouse Studio, Northcote (exact address provided on booking)
Bring: Just yourself, all materials will be supplied.

Sort of .. this session is light, fluffy and for the non-committing. Lots of preparation has been done for you. Weaving isn’t easy but you’ll be starting with a beginner good baseline and learning how to weave a simple, useful piece of upcycled cloth to live another life.

Possibly not. If you’re certain that you want to try weaving out for longer than 3 hours it’s recommended that you skip this session and begin with Weaving Basics 1 where you’ll learn the technical knowledge of simple weave structures and fibres and progress from there.
